Rob, PB&J and J.D.

Thank you all for the good advice you've given me, and be assured that I will be looking into buying the protective underwear. I haven't seen the Abena Level 3 pullups in my local stores, but I will look when I next venture into the town.
My local stores only sell the pads and the tena lady underwear(pullups). Would the tena lady pullups work as well, as the Abena pull ups?
I am seeing the nurse practioner again, tomorrow to get the results of my blood test, but I will ask her about the urologists. I have just started keeping a track of how often i am going to the loo, and it seems to be a lot of times. Since early this morning and through out the day, I have been to the loo about 7-8 times and the amount that is expelled is between a trickle and a small stream.
Knowing that I am not alone, in dealing with bladder issues, is a great comfort, and that I can turn to you all when i have so many questions and need answers that so far, my health professional hasn't addressed.
I will keep you updated as to how I get on and let you know the outcome of the tests.

Hi, aurora borealis - The women's absorbent underwear (all brands) are not as absorbent as Abena Abri-Flex pull-ups. They are an entirely different product. In my experience, the Tena, etc. products are not acceptable for night use. I'm also female. I have daytime urge incontinence and bedwetting episodes. I wear Always, Depend Silhouette, etc. trim-fit underwear under my business and special-occasion attire (with bathroom breaks throughout the day/evening to prevent my bladder from getting over-full). I use Abri-Flex pull-ups for sleeping, along with a surface bed pad (washable at home, disposable when I travel). Do you only have daytime accidents, and is your leakage light-to-moderate? If so, the women's asorbent underwear products might work well for you.

Hi Aurora

Abenas and other premium brands are primarily sold but medical supply websites or a few better pharmacys

If you are in Canada you can get them from Agecomfort.com from the U.S. It's From Gary at www.xpmedical.com

I have dealt with Agecomfort.com and have had no issues and will probably order my supply's from Gary for our next trip to Disney world and have him drop ship them for us to save us having to fly with overweight luggage.

Unfortunately most local retailers seem to stick with the cheaper brands and don't carry premium diapers, I can't recommend enough buying premium diapers as since we have to wear it's a great feeling when accidents happen that you can carry on with what you are doing at the time and trust your diaper to do its job.

I tried depends taped diapers before I found out about Dry 24/7's and the Abena level 4 premium diapers and I was always worried I would leak and I did. Now I no longer worry about leaks they will and do happen from time to time but if you don't push the diaper to its limit its normaly not an issue.
