I have not told my girls, they are 6 and 13, however I find it difficult to believe they dont know something is up. I crinkle when I walk which seems to eliminate several possibilities. Regardless I honestly think you make it what you want it to be. If you simply explain to them what the issue is and dont treat it as a big deal then chances are it will never be a big deal. If you do make it a big deal and huge production ... chances are it will become the same.
