Hey there!

So, I have 1 pair of plastic pants from AFDC that I bought to try, and 2 or 3 PVC rompers from InControl that I don't use very often because they are so delicate they need to be hand washed and dried hung? Not sure. So, I have been using my Ecoable covers for all my cloth diapers, including hte flannel from AFDC, because I feel I have no other choice. For the most part, I can make the cover work by tucking in the flannel at the waist and legs, but I was wondering how crucial is tucking in the waist if I plan to change every 4 hours? This morning I had a leak when I was on the way to the bathroom and I had the morning flood.. my bladder is in the go nuts phase of its cycle. I think I didn't have the cover snapped on tight enough, or didnt have all the snaps on. I was only wearing one layer. With the really big floods 2 or 3 is best because no matter how well any cloth diaper is made, they are probably designed for dribbles or spurts, not niagra falls type floods. We are talking roughly 16 ounces all at once. Very few diapers can handle that type of punishment.

I think the leak was caused by a combination of the cover not on properly, too few layers, and perhaps part of the diaper material was sticking out of the cover. So that's why im asking if I can focus on just the legs and not necessarily the waist.

Peace out!

Rob

There is no diaper made that will be foolproof under every circumstance. You will still need enough layers, and waterproof overpants for optimal protection. Good luck in your experimentation and the success of finding what works best for you.

I have overpants on the way. My complaint about the blue pastel pant is that the elastic feels rough on my skin. I prefer covered elastic.

Peace out!

Rob
