Just not happy with the new Attends dermadry

Tue Jul 28, 2015 4:50 pm

Hey all,

A few months ago, Attends stopped manufacturing Attends Breathable in the old model that I got through Medicaid. Instead, they have something called Dema Dry. When I first used them, I thought they were questionable. They were thin, the tape distribution was different, the fit was weird. The backing was less. They turned it into a bit wider version of a belted brief on the sides, as opposed to you standard wings brief.. more or less. I'm like ok.. I won't judge a book by its cover.. ill try these.. And operating on a change when wet basis, they did the job just fine.. so, absorbency is not the issue. The issue is comfort. THe crotch is narrower.. to the point of the leak guards bunching and giving me a wedgie. this has happened on more than one occasion. Lets just say I like the old attends better. I called J and b and told them, and they are sending samples of the attends 8 and something I haven't tried. The options are running out. Now, I'm not talking about extended wear situations. Those I can handle just fine by buying a case or bag every so often as needed.. and they would last longer than if they would if I was wearing them all the time. I am talking about standard use, change when wet basis diapers. I have been relying on Medicaid for those, and my costs would be much higher if I didn't use medicad, so I really can't afford to close my Medicaid account. It would seem the only alternative to wearing cheaper diaeprs that ride up all the time is to start wearing cloth. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. For now, I gotta go.

Peace out!

Rob

Rob,

That is very helpful feedback. :D I would be particularly concerned about the narrow crotch as I have learned to avoid that in a diaper whenever possible.

Please let us know how you feel about the new Attends they are sending you.
