Hello! I'm on my first day off from working at the special needs camp. I am actually glad that I decided to do a diaper medely, since it gave me a chance to try different diapers in different situations. What surprised me is I actually ended up using Northshore Care quite a bit. The reason is tape quality. Abena was doing excellent in terms of not ripping, and the tabs sticking to the diaper, but lately I can't seem to get one on without ripping a tab. Same goes with Air plus. Yes, it might be a bad batch, and ordinarily I wouldn't hesitate to contact Gary and request a replacement bag, but my time is limited. I sometimes don't even get a break bewtween washing dishes and being with the campers on the unit. So, today I went ahead and placed an order for a case of Northshore Care Air supreme, and 2 bags of 12 of the X-Plus taped brief from Secure Personal Care. I tried them before and thought they were fairly decent. The reason I bought them was because I remember them having a landing zone, which I'm hoping will help with the tape popping issue. By they way, I will not be able to respond to any posts until my next day off, which will be next Tuesday. We don't have internet access on camp, unless theres's a staff member with WiMax.. and id rather not do that unless I have to. I want to stay focused on my job, on the kids :D. I'm having the time of my life. Good news is my pants have stayed dry, despite leakage of the diaper, thanks to the underwear and vinyl overpants combo.

Peace out!

Rob

Rob,

Add my kudos to those above. Having a counselor who is incontinent must be invaluable for the staff, even if the kids do not understand. You do, and they do, and demonstrating your competence despite your incontinence must be hugely important.
