Rash cream as aftershave for "down there" w/electric razor

Hi friends,

As you well know, for many, an important part of incontinence management is keeping the pubic hair well in check, either trimmed or shaved off outright. Usually in the past when i did it, i would use a manual razor in a bathtub with plenty of shaving cream. but, not only was that slightly inconvinent since it required a bath, but it also led to nicks and cuts minor down there. then it occured to me.. well, maybe rash cream could alleviate any itching caused by using an electric razor. I did, using Balmex adult care..and it works! I apply it right after im done shaving and I have none of the usual itchiness and irritation that comes with using an electric.. of course, once i use a razor for shaving that part of the body, i wouldnt use it for other parts.but then again i have plenty of electric razors :).

So, if you find shaving with a manual inconvinent, give this a try, you just might be suprised!

Peace out!

Rob

Sociologygeek,

That is good advice re using Balmex. I have had success with Vaseline, which I normally use in generous amounts as a barrier cream.

Re shaving, I am using a Wahl beard trimmer without any add-on comb attachments. It works fairly well, but due to my inability to see what I am doing, I find it difficult. I also wind up with the occasional nick or cut. I shave as close as possible but, fortunately, I have not had the itching that so many describe.
