GDiapers contact regarding adult sizes

I contacted g diapers and asked if they ever considered making adult sized versions of their diapers. The response I got was encouraging:

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We do not make adult size products at this time, but we have absolutely considered it! Hopefully we'll be able to bring something to market in the coming years!

I am wondering if you ever considered making adult sized versions of your diapers. I am fairly certain there would be quite a demand for them, since many adults are fed up with the cost of disposable diapers to manage their incontinence and are looking for reusable alternatives. An adult sized g diaper would give them the reusability they are looking for while also remaining as convinenent as disposables. I know for myself if GDiapers made an adult version, I'd be able to stop using disposables altogether, and save a lot of money as well as the environment. This indeed encouraging but noncommittal. A thought I had is that a response to a request might be more immediate and stronger if they were to receive multiple requests. Well, baby or adult, those inserts are NOT flushable. Ask just about any plumber.

In the mean time, you can already get a pocket diaper which uses washable inserts from several sources online. Disposable inserts would be cool though.

My wife and I used G diapers on my first child. They weren't that good and they were extremely messy. I for one would NOT FLUSH THE INSERT...

Thanks for the input Don.. in what way were they messy? and why wouldn't you flush the insert? they were designed to be flushed. If you swish it and break it down it will be flushable.

The first problem is that most people don't know you NEED to swirl and mix the disposable in the bowl in order to get it to break apart. Even then, it doesn't completely break apart. Many bits and pieces will remain congealed together. When you flush this mess, it has a very high chance of clogging your pipes.

Now take second problem of the majority that simply toss it in the toilet and flush. This is a near guarantee way to clog your pipes.

Lastly, take the third problem of old pipes and slow drains. You need a high velocity flush to clear your pipes of those disposables. Not even half of Americans have this, which only compounds the problem.

Oh, and forget about those who have septic systems too.

Seriously, do not flush any biodegradable disposable product.
