Bodyscocking/onsie size CONFUSION..HELP!

Sat Nov 14, 2015 7:35 pm

Hello all,

Ok, I have been looking into onesies that are more roomy in the crotch than XP medical's bodystockings.. since the body lenght is the the exact same regardless of size chosen.. and i have concerns about it being too tight on my pocket diaper when i start wearing it.. and i have found nothing but CONFUSION on the size charts. IT seems that i don't fit the mold for any size adult onesie. For example.. on Baby-Pants.com... they tell you to measure the chest.. easy enuoug.. my chest is a size 38.. waist is also 38.. but then in order to get length, they want me to take a measurement from my neckine though the crotch with a diaper on (presumably the cloth one) and pass it through to my neckkine and divide by 2. well, I'm wearing an Abena X-plus at the moment, which is the closest i can come to at the moment in terms of thickness to the pocket diaper,, since right now its in Kansas waiting to ship out with my other pocket diaeprs hopefully when I get back on the 23. So i did the meansuremnt and divided it and it comes out to 34 inches. Here's the problem that I run into. The onesie with a 38 lenght also has a huge waist.. like 44 inches.. so.. if its that big.. its gonna be baggy around my midseciton.. so it would be too big. Adaptations by Adrian only does the trunk lengh.. and it seems like im a 36 inch lenght there. on fetware, on chest size im a medium, but on lenght im again up into the extra large super large onesies. I am tall and skinny.. and if i understand correclty, a bodystocking is supposed to fit snugly.. or is it? I am so confused.

Msshendo, Patrick, JD, anyone who has onesies from these sites.. id apprecaite insight! Thanks!

Peace out!

Rob

The onesies from Baby-Pants do come extremely long, but they will also shrink some during the first washing. Even after that shrinkage, they STILL are a bit long for my.

Hey, I just bought some from Bkins. I would urge you to 1 size larger than you wear. I measured up and went to the size chart. They are a bit snug, but still wearable. I'm afraid that if I run them thru the dryer they'll shrink and be too small. I'm 5'7" and a portly  220lbs. I went with the large. Length was pretty good though. I should have gone with the ex large.....

I've found with body stockings/ onesies, the only important measurement is the length. The length needs to be just right so it will help hold your diaper in place. The waist measurement can still actually be a little bit oversized and they will still work just fine. Like porkchop mentioned, they will also shrink after washing too. Wearing them will re-stretch the onesie back some if it's too tight in the length as well. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the onesie with the right length and too big waist wouldn't actually end up working well enough after all.

Of course, everyone's body shape is different and I'd bet the only real way you'll be able to find out is to just try one.

If you want onsies, try this place. I have a couple from her now, and they are very nice, and feel like T-shirts. She even makes Polos. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Adult-Baby-WEAR ... 1269759117

here is an ebay seller that has been very easy to work with and I am very happy with this particular onesie.
I have purchased 8 now.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Men-White-Black-Onsie-Bodysuit-Special-Needs-Clothing-Incontinence-S-M-L-XL-/181316732040
this item comes standard with the shoulder straps having hooks and eyes for easy removal. I had her delete these from all but the first one I purchased.
just ask when ordering about deleting the hooks. I didnt like have the hooks on the shoulders but others may like them.
I am 73" tall and about 220 and the large works just fine in my case. I like them a bit snug and even after washing they fit perfectly on me.

Rob, I like the onesies from Fetware. I have several that have served me well.

Re crotch width, please be aware that most onesies are deliberately made a bid narrow in the crotch than diapers so that they will not make contact with pee from the leg gathers.

Please forgive my failure to answer this earlier. I do not own a onesie or a bodystocking, so I cannot add anything useful to this thread.

Soc, So sorry I just got to this post. I'm sure by now I am of no help. That plus our bodies are much different. What B Brian wrote was probably right on target. If the length is accurate, that will provide the tension to pull up on the diaper as you wear it to hold it in place. One thing though is that the tension will all be from the bottom of the diaper up. So, if your diaper is rather wet, it could tend to cause leaking due to pressure. Though probably no more than sitting on a wet diaper would. I prefer these days to have most of the pressure of holding the diaper in place to be on the hips. That way the force of holding it up isn't on the absorbent area of the diaper.

Just my opinions there. Let us know how it all worked out.
