Mentally and physically?

and anyone else who uses Seni Quatro on a regular basis. I am seriously considering them for all-around use, and definetly plan to use them in conjunction with another diaper such as abena or Confidry. How do Seni Quatro rate in terms of odor control? Is it about the same as other cloth backed diapers..that is to say, less than perfect after a few hours? Or does it perform reasonably well? I am tempted to use Seni Quatro all the time, but my only concern is the tapes and odor control. If anyone can give feedback on odor control that would be MOST appreciated.
Peace out!

I find these to be better than Abena's cloth back products (or their plastic back for that matter--does Abena even incorporate odor control in their products?).
Anyways, I've had no odor issues with the Seni Quatro. The thinner Seni Super Plus is my current daytime go-to. Also, I've had no problems with the tapes. The adhesive gives out after a couple refastens, but there's also Velcro, along with the 'second chance' adhesive under the blue tabs.

rob, I continue to use Seni Quatro along with ConfiDry 24/7 and Tena Slip Maxi (the old pastic-backed ones).
IMHO the European (Polish made) Seni Quatro is the best non-plastic-backed diaper available in the U.S.
It is a breathable diaper with cloth-like outside but an air-permeable and waterproof barrier inside that eliminates stretching and sagging. It sags much less than any other breathable I have tested. Includes elastic waist front and back. Wetness indicator front and back. Maximum absorbency 4 liters - 128 oz. Excellent wicking - uses most of diaper. Standing internal leak guards. Despite its absorbency it is very concealable. Holds most urine between legs rather than in front. Has a "drop zone" for fecal incontinence that is good but not so extreme as on ConfiDry 24/7. Good tapes. Very quiet. No clumping and no separation of the mat form the backshell. Less odor transmitted than most breathables. I have had no diaper rash with this diaper. Very reliable. Have gone overnight wet for 10 ½ hours with the Seni without leaking. Usually reliably safe during an active day for 7 - 8 hrs with a booster pad.
As I am bowel incontinent I know a thing or two about odor control and diapers.

No breathable diaper can adequately contain fecal odor. However, the Seni is the best in that regard have used or tested. Lets be honest, how long will a quality plastic-backed diaper control fecal odor? Not long.
Tapes are better than I have tested on other breathable diapers. Nonetheless, I always reinforce the tapes.
I hope this helps.

thats good info, thanks!
Since I only have to deal with urinary incon, bowel odor isn't a concern for me.. I was speaking in terms of urine odor...
Peace out!

Rob, IMHO the best protection against urine odor is to stay well hydrated and select a diaper that can handle the extra urine output. Also, avoid foods such as asparagus that give urine a strong odor.

I read once that it isn't the asparagus that causes the odor in your urine but rather that the asparagus cleans out impurities in your body that causes odor in your urine. Therefore, if you eat asparagus on a more regular basis, you will not have these impurities and no longer create odor. Just a hypothesis.

Any diaper that breathes will allow odor to escape. Some are better than others. Some are worse. If you find one with acceptable odor control stick with it.

That's not correct me when do. Asparagus contains an indigestible carbohydrate that our kidneys simply filter out. The ability to smell said carbohydrate is genetic. About 20% of the population (depending on ethnic group) are incapable of smelling asparagus pee.

O.k. MSUSpartan. Where the heck did you come up with that exotic tidbit of information?

Well there you go. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.
