Hey.

So, given that with Better Dry, the mediums are too small but the larges are too loose/big, I decided to try disposables outside that brand. I even sampled AB/DL diapers with the notion that as long as it fits well and works, I don't care who makes it , how much it costs or what it has on it. I am DONE washing cloth diapers constantly. I orddered a bunch of Bambino's website. I ordered the Magnifico, Bloomees Catstronaut, and Belleisimo. There were some diapers that were hybrid sized, that is Small MED and L XL. I sampled both the s/M and L XL in that case. The Magnifico and the Bloomeez were the two in that category. The tabs on those actually resemble the tabs on baby diapers. They leave something to be desired on reliablity on sticking to a small degree. Right now im wearing the Bloomeez L/XL. the fit is pretty good but the tabs dont alaways stick. I don think there is adequate surface area. It is NOT a sticky tape tab, so that could be the issue. It is after all an ab/dl diaper, meant to cater to that crowd, meaning it favors babyish looks over functionality. I would use these as a last resort for now. I have yet to try on the secure x briefs. I wish Bambino made a version of the bloomeez that has regular tabs..

In other news.. the floods are back. I'm talking the floods where a diaper is SATURATED with urine and requires immediate changing. The floods that would make most mid range disposables cry (Ie leak ;) for mercy. Is it me not going to the toilet often enough? Possible. But the way things are going with my bladder these days, every time I try to go to the toilet to pee I start releaseing befoer the diaper even comes off.. so what is the point ultimately? I suspect it has to do with being impacted in my bowel to a degree... the hard stool presses on the bladdder. So I got cleared out with my bowel with a few enemas. I am no longer constipated.. but this past Friday I had to call in because I was so constipated that I was having diareeah and I out and out crapped my diaper at one point. Not just a little poop eiither.. it was a full on BM that was liquidy. Sorry for the TMI.

So, note to self, If a diaper says its S/M but has a size range ending in 47.. DONT think it will fit. It's an illusion, fake news. Your body shape is such that it will not fit. Maybe if you were shorter with less wide hips. I think I might revisit Mega max next if the Total dry proves to not fit like I want it to.

Peace out!

Rob

I have some of your issues. To manage diarrhea I take either Benefiber or docusate sodium with every meal. Constipation can cause overflow issues, as you discovered. The risk of a possible bowel accident makes a large, well-stocked diaper bag a necessity.
