Just thought id give my $.02 on the northshore care brand diapers.. I asked for samples of both the plastic back and cloth backed. Yes, i know many folks don't like the cloth back diapers. Honestly, ive never had much of a problem. I can go either way. The only main concern with plastic back is the noise issue..and i find that most quality adult diapers (Abena, Molicare, Dry 24/7, Gary's A+) dont really crinkle tat much when one wears someting over the brief. I have noticed however that some plastic back diaeprs have a thin backsheet thats easy to tear..cough..wellness..cough...

Anyway.. I can say I'm impressed with both... and leaning toward the cloth backed becacuse of the velcro tapes..look almost identical to attends.. so basically we have an economy based attends extended wear... cool beans.. Now, they are somewhat thick..I actually was a bit suprised as to how thick they were.. when I wore ConfiDry or Absorbency Plus level 4.. under loose fitting jeans size 38.. you couldnt even make out the bulk of the diaper.. but with this diaper.. even under the same 38" waist jeans, you can still see a thin outline in the front and back... Honestly, i dont care...concealment is overblown.. how often to people spend their time staring at someone's butt or crotch?? and even if they did.. how could they discern a diaper from actual say..blubbler in the groin/buttock area? I digress.. point is, they are at least thicker than wellness or Tena Slip Maxi.. but then again i followed the site instructions about stretching the diaper and folding it in half.. maybe that added to the bulk... anyway.. I'm not really worried about it. I think ill stick to Tena Slip or Wellness for teaching jobs, and possibly use northshore or gary's brand for "standard" extended wear... of course, when im at home or engaged in normal life.. i wear my medicaid provided attends... I cant tell you how glad I am to be able to get diapers thru medicaid.. I just wish they still had Tena Ultra.. those were AWESOME!

Thanks Rob for including this in your post. Since I didn't specify which sample I would like to try, I was shipped the overnights so they were big to say the least. From what everyone else had said about them, I decided to wear them while making a trip to California on an airline. I didn't stretch or fold the first one as I didn't know I was suppose to do this. By not doing this, it was bulky and felt very strange wearing. After seeing your post I decided to research it and found a YouTube video about it. Well on the return trip I did just what the video said to do, plus once folded in half I stuck it under my suitcase overnight to help with the fold. By doing this with the second one, made it more comfortable to wear. They did an excellent job at absorption, but I didn't like the bulk nor did I like the plastic backing.
