I have a few cloth nappies that I wear at night; mostly they are the Blankencare 'stuffer' type which I find easier to put on and secure than prefolds, which I've never mastered the art of folding and fitting in waterproof pants. With two folded inserts they can easily accommodate a night's worth of urine and don't feel all that wet. I'd use them more often but for the laundering they require.

Hi Tom. Allow me to echo what most have already said.
  • Cloth overnight is fantastic. While bulky, no more leaks for this side sleeper.
  • Cloth during day is quite good as well. If I'm out for an extended time, then I switch to disposable so that I can deal with the used diaper in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Stuffers for extra absorbency. For the "inexpensive" route, you can use terry cloth towels like these: https://www.samsclub.com/p/12-pack-xl-w ... od24590620.
  • Invest in a good diaper pail. This is the one that I use: https://store.buschsystems.com/40000124 ... lift-white. I used to use a 5-gallon type of paint bucket, but after a few weeks, they developed perma-ammonia odor; not pleasant.
  • I do laundry every 2-3 days which keeps both the supply replenished and the odor to a minimum.
  • For washing, I recommend a presoak cycle for every washing. Sure does seem to help!

Lastly, I can't recommend enough the DependeCo diapers at: http://dependeco-adult-diapers.com/. They are absolutely fantastic. And the owner Monika is very helpful. Moreover, while I never liked all-in-one's (AIO), Monika's AIOs have made me make the switch! So my daytime diapers are AIOs (with various stuffers depending on my level of hydration). For night time, I use the all cloth, doubled up. And I recommend their pull-on diaper covers. They are thinner than Gary pants, but very nice in the high heat environments that I spend most of my time in. Great night's sleep ever since!

Best wishes!

ILuvLA.
