As of today, my ratio of dry nights to wet is up to 17:7. Also, my body feels different in a good way - I don't have the neck-to-toes numbness and tingling during the night and in the morning which makes me feel like I had another stroke - and my movements, both locomotion and fine motor skills, are much more fluid. I'm starting to multi-task. It's like I can walk down the street and chew gum at the same time, if you know what I mean.
I can't even remember my last daytime accident. I'm not making any big plans just yet, but I'm feeling the stirrings of moving ahead with fixing my life.

Wetters,
This reads as though you are truly on the mend. Couldn't happen to a nicer gal. Enjoy. Congratulations. Keep up the good and getting better work.

Hi, Patrick, thanks very much for acknowledging my improvements and for your thoughtful response. I have been thinking about volunteering to run a workshop for living with chronic conditions. My medical center has them, and the facility is looking for volunteers (they provide training). I can't help thinking that my journey has been for a reason, since I really can't see this as payback time for past indiscretions.

Several years ago I attended a workshop for folks with chronic illnesses run by a local hospital. Because those who attended were dealing with such a wide variety of ailments, no single bit of advice suited all. However, the leaders did include a list of online support groups and medical advice providers, which has proven quite useful. I have discovered that not all of the advice available on the Internet is accurate, useful, or even competent. However, if it is recommended by a hospital, you can assume that it has been vetted for competence and accuracy. Your experience with stroke survival should make you an excellent resource. Good luck.
