When I started out I was using a 5cc balloon and found it to be uncomfortable. There were a lot of spasms and leakage so I went up to a 30cc balloon. This seemed to solve a lot of problems. What size works best for you? ![]() |

I'm the exact opposite. If I have much of anything in my bladder then it will spasm out. A 30cc balloon is right at that point its detected too, so I typically only use 5 or 10cc balloons. Edit, I've had 30cc balloons inserted during a surgery. After getting home I just deflate it some and all is well as they still work just as good if not fully inflated. |

mlhjr I hear they're way comfortable. Do you need a prescription for them, I can't seem to find them? |

BB 58, Yes I have a prescription them, I cant comment on comfort because I have very little feeling in that area, but one thing I can say I have hadn't any issue with plugging up or infection. When I was scoped there wasn't any irritation do to the catheter. When I used a standard Foley I had some irritation, the Duette has worked very well for me and Im not going to change back. |

I can only ever stand 5cc in mine. The problem with that is that when I have it changed at eight weeks there is only ever about 2 left in it. This does concern me a bit I would hate it to come out. |
