About a week ago I got a case of the Tena Flex Maxi Diapers They are the maximum absorbency Flex Diapers by Tena They make any U.S. Tena diaper look sad I'm going to get more of these if I can find a source that won't break the bank Better yet maybe I should move over there
Jane has worn a few this week and has been very happy also. I've been wearing these for the last week nonstop I find I can often go a good eight hours in one.
When I first looked at one it looked thin? and I wondered how well it would work? Well they hold allot and don't seem to bulk up as bad as the molicares do. Also they don't seem to break down as easy and fall in the crotch I have been wearing mesh pants over them. And like most tena products I feel rather dry even after being in them 6 plus hours. The cut is allot different then the conventional diaper. The sides are much higher then what I'm use to. I got the large size not knowing how they would fit Often I'm right in between where the med. are almost to small but the larges are to big Because of my hips I often find that the larges will work better? With mediums the bottom tapes on most diapers will either make it with an inch to spare or barely make it but the tops will have plenty of room Then with the larges the top tapes are often only 6-8 inches apart in front.
Anyway with these Flex diapers the tapes both top and bottom are well into the front of the diaper. So I guess what I'm saying is if your a more boarder line person like me go with the med. ..................Sandy

Thanks Sandy for the 411 on these diapers. How would we know if we are buying the American made brand or the European made diaper?

The Tena's I have sampled were o.k. and there was one that almost made it through the night. Again as you know, cost is the biggest stumbling block for me.

The Tena brand has been around Canada for a long time, and are of good quality. I have been using their pull on, and use one every morning for my run ( I'm a runner, and train all year) I use the small size, as anything bigger gets in the way of a workout. I have done 1/2 marathons in them, and the pants have always held up through a nearly 2 hour work-out. They are discreet enough under dark shorts, and I don't think they are noticeable. That is about the only time I would use a pull on. Forget the Depends. Pulling them on, they go almost to my chest.

I have used their other diapers, a little more pricey than off brands but the quality is worth their price. It has been probably a couple of years since I last tried Tena diapers, and I can't recall being disapointed with comfort and functional capability.

Is there a difference between Canada, U.S and Europe with the name brand Tena, Attends, etc.? Is the actual diaper different in different countries?

I'm not a big fan of the "Flex" or "T-shape" diapers. I prefer the traditional shape. But I have wanted to try European Tenas for some time now. Too bad I haven't been able to find any company that will ship them over here for a reasonable price.

Has anyone written to Tena and asked them why their American products are such garbage?

These are not the "T" type they look like a traditional diaper Two tapes on each side. But the sides are much higher then what the Tena ultras are or Classics. I've tried the "T" type they work ok but it's best to wear mesh pants or underwear over them to help keep them in place. As they get wet they tend to sag . The "T" type is ok for daytime use. But I can see where you fellows may have a problem being they are narrow and if your thingy moves around I can see where that could be a problem Also I'd guess you people that sleep on your side would find the "T" type worthless as well. Anyway what I was talking about was not the "T" type....................................Sandy

You mean you got the Tena Slip... not the Tena Flex. The Tena Slip is a traditional plastic diaper... the Tena Flex is not.

I know what you mean Sandy Europe makes the best diapers. And wearing diapers is very common in Europe for convience. So we would not be as uncommon in society.

I have also been able to buy these Tena slip maxi diapers on our trips to Ukraine. Over there they are available in the grocery stores and in the pharmacies. They are as good as the Molicare Super Plus I use here in the US. I was also able to buy a similar type diaper in the Philippines last September, when visiting our daughter in Manila. It is really frustrating that we cannot buy quality diapers in most retail stores here in the US. With these products available there, I don't have to worry about bringing so many products with me in the suitcase!

It certainly has been a boon for us that European diapers have become available to us in the States.

I, for one, can echo what was said about the American Tena vs the Europena Tena.

I agree the Tena Slip Maxis seem to be a great diaper and I was able to get the VA to purchase some for me due problems with the Unique Wellness. They seem to work well at night and during the day and I'm extremely impressed.
