After over 3 weeks of waiting, numerous unanswered calls, more health people seeing me in diapers, I now know a little more of what's going on with my heart. Today I saw another cardiologist that went over my various tests. He basically told me things I sort of already knew. My problems are 3 fold. My blood pressure is way to high...160/100 today with 2 medications I'm currently taking, I have some intraventricular myocardial bridging, my ECG is very abnormal, and the symptoms I've been having. I guess that's 4 areas. The next course of action is adding another medication. A low dose metoprolol to try and lower the blood pressure, and an MRI of my heart. I'm finding out how complicated the heart muscle is, and how it can be quite difficult to find the cause of some problems. Needless to say the anxiety associated with these new issues don't help my incontinence much. I have a feeling I'm in for the long haul with this. |

In light of your cardiac issues, incontinence must be minor indeed. Here are a hope and a prayer that your cardiologist will find the combination of medicines that will work for you. That sky-high blood pressure is scary indeed. Keep us informed. |

This has been quite the marathon. I will be having a cardiac MRI on Aug. 29th. This is the last test that can determine any heart related issues. It's been a real marathon. This adventure started with my "well man's" physical two months ago. This test should give them a more definite diagnosis. Right now, I'm thinking incontinence and the need to wear diapers is not a major concern. |
