On the morning of the first of May I had a Tumarkins attack. Meniere's disease is when the balance mechanisms of the inner ears send conflicting signals to the brain. The result is uncontrolled dizzyness and ataxia. Tumarkins is when both inner ears stop working simultaneously. This causes sudden collapse with the risk of broken bones. There is no warning, such as with epilepsy or a coronary event; my first impulse was to check for broken bones; none. However, it did cause my gastroparesis to flare. I went five days between bowel movements. I am not a medical professional; I attempted to manage this by increasing my GP medications. Mistake. After five days of no BMs, I had three days of diarrhea. I am grateful for heavy diapers. I needed a solid two weeks to fully recover, during which I had to behave appropriately with family, friends and neighbors.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Patrickk, your ability to cope with adversity is impressive. In this, you are a role model for all of us.
