Hello Ender,
Welcome to the forum. What a lot you have had to contend with, but I hope you find the support you need here, as I have.
Everyone here is like a big family, so supportive and very friendly. This is the place I come to, and know that I am among friends, so nice to have you aboard.

hi ender.
im so glad you posted this because now i feel comfortable posting about me too.
im also ftm transgender. i havent had genital re-assignment surgery, but ive had a mastectomy and oopherectomy.
as i posted last night, i broke my leg in 4 places and due to my surgery am now incontinent.
its been a struggle to deal with doctors and being transgendered.
you always have to explain yourself and hope that your doctor is cool.
i have an appointment with a urologist in march and i dread having to explain that i have female genitalia but appear male.
thanks for posting your story.

@tangerine:
I don't mind posting here, maybe it will be of use to someone else, too. I had a metoidioplasty with urethral lengthening and testicular implants. If you have any particular questions, ask away.

@justej:
I know the feeling all to well. Disclosing and explaining are never enjoyable; neither is wondering whether the doctor will treat you or if it's on to the next one. Most doctors are at least professional, though.

Thanks everyone again for their welcome.

There are a fair number of us on here then. I do know a few trans men wirh incontinence and generally wirh health problems actually. There seems some degree of correlation.

I have to disclose a lot due to my health problems. I have carers so at one point had to disclose multiple times a day to multiple people. That recked my head. Thankfully the agency send them a list of things they need to know (which I wrote) now.

This is the surgery I'm looking at although as I'm catheterisef I probably won't be allowed urethral lengthening and I'm allergic to silicone which also complicates things! Thanks for the offer.
