Tapatalk is said to work well but has very serious privacy issues. Several forums have dropped Tapatalk due to privacy concerns. Essentially Tapatalk bypasses the forum Administrators and their authorization process.
One forum that dropped it posted: "The Tapatalk plugin comes with a function that is turned on by default without the consent of the server administrators and a proper option to disable it. This function reads data from the database (such as your e-mail address, name and whatever else is stored in the forum database) and sends this data to the Tapatalk server without our consent!"
I am concerned both about privacy in our forums and the ability of the administrator to screen out persons who do not belong in a serious moderated forum and, accordingly, would be very cautious about Tapatalk.
