I was wondering what the thoughts of some of our members about putting together a list by state/Provence and by country of live support groups or members wanting to put one together. Let's hear some ideas.

Yes, knowing where people live does colour advice we give as health services are different in different countries.

I think it would be a good idea. Unfortunately I already have done the research to determine that no such groups exist in my area.

I agree JD(not that there are no groups in your area, how would I know that?). There are not many groups out there. One of the reasons I posted the question is for over a year I have been trying to get a group off the ground. I feel I have gone as far as I can trying to get the word out but have only gotten six others to contact me and only three actually came out although number six is new and seems very excited to make her first meeting. I think this would help other find groups and potential member if there was enough interest in their areas.
One of my biggest issues is how to get the word out. I have tried the main local paper but they only run a support group listing once a week and they will only run it two times per request IF they have space. I have also run an add in a not so main stream paper here. I have posted on craigslist and even went so far to email a flyer to all the urology offices around here and asked them to post it on their bulletin boards in the office or in the rooms. Everyone I have spoke to all say it is something needed and they are surprised when I tell them there are no groups out there. Just to put it into prospective, one of out members driver over two hours to be with us. Its nuts there are not groups out there.

Maybe the answer is to meet people via a Skype Call - one can have a group on the same call.

Except maybe for me, as I'm usually in just my diaper at home, due to leaks, and cam is set for full shot, if move it, it gets distorted....LOL
However, I only usually use Skype for family, so.....
